GCS Fully Enclosed Grain Cleaner

Why Choose GCS?

GCS 1400

Industry Compliance

GCS partners with some of the most trusted suppliers in the industry. Motors, Variable Frequency Drives and other electrical parts used as components in grain cleaners are all built in USA making them very accessible for replacement at any point in time. Every Control Panel which is the heart of the machine is UL/CUL/CSA certified and meets North American standards. This is a critical characteristic of each machine and must be required by every customer. This ensures that if an inspection is done at the place of business the machinery can satisfy all of the requirements. When choosing which grain cleaning equipment to invest in everyone needs to consider the compliance aspect and whether the machinery is acceptable for operation in North America. GCS is proud to offer grain cleaning equipment of highest quality that meet highest standards of Ag industry. By offering machinery that is proudly assembled in USA we stand behind our product and have been serving our customers for nearly a decade. Our lineup of fully enclosed fan powered grain cleaners provides options to customers who operate in a dust controlled environment. Those units come with explosion proof motors and a cyclone to take out dust and light chaff. ATTENTION! When operating a fully enclosed grain cleaner you MUST ensure the machinery is equipped with explosion proof motors. Grain dust is highly explosive and can cause major damage. This is a very important safety measure that every farmer needs to consider when investing into grain cleaning equipment.

Parts and Accessories

All GCS grain cleaners include a number of must-have accessories that enable customers to start operating as soon as the machine arrives on their place of business. Hopper extension, discharge chutes and air discharge deflector play a critical role in helping manage the grain cleaning process. Additionally, parts of the grain cleaner that tend to have the most wear and tear such as hopper and the inside of separation chamber are all made from stainless steel to extend longevity of the machine. One of the key improvements to the grain cleaners in recent years has been the addition of the roller inside of the hopper in larger models (GCS-1000 grain cleaner and up). Roller ensures the grain spreads evenly in the hopper and prevents any bridging that can occur especially with light crops such as oats, hemp, grass seeds and others. Since all of the electrical parts are procured in the USA they are all readily available in North America ensuring limited downtime in case a replacement is needed.

Productivity

GCS grain cleaners have all been field tested and verified for the capacities that each model represents. When choosing the right model potential buyers need to understand that width of the cleaning chamber plays a determining role in cleaning capacity. When comparing different options potential buyers have to be careful to compare equitable machinery and the determining factor for capacity is the width of the cleaning chamber. Pricing and capacity have to go hand in hand when comparing between different options; we find often that farmers are being misinformed about real capacity of the machinery which causes them to make bad investments..

Energy Consumption

GCS fan-powered seed cleaners are the most energy efficient machines on the market. By the use of axial type fan and advanced aerodynamic system GCS grain cleaners require minimum energy to operate. The smallest model GCS-200 grain cleaner draws maximum 3 amps on single phase 230V and the biggest model GCS-2200 grain cleaner draws maximum 22 amps on single phase 230V. We are able to customize to any power requirements depending on the need of our customers (single phase, three phase power with any voltage combination). Sometimes there is a misconception about using axial fan versus centrifugal (square) cage fan where claims are made that the latter is superior to axial fan. Centrifugal fan is designed to move air for a long distance which is simply not required in the grain cleaner application. Thus, the use of centrifugal fans in fan-powered grain cleaners is mis-used application driving the energy consumption way higher requiring 3 times the amperage and horse power to operate them and requires additional restriction of air flow to ensure the grain doesn’t get blown out of the cleaning chamber due to high velocity of air flow.
